I am in a job I loath and 2 get out of jail cards I want to use are photography and magic.

I've only got Magners on draught, at the moment, but I'll put some Babysham on once we get a few more real drinkers in here. This running a pub lark's easy!

It helps that it's my sister-in-law who's getting married and I am also the Usher, so there's no great pressure to be "the performer" when I do my mix'n'mingle. Also, being family, I'm not being paid anything so there's another pressure off my head.

I used my Paul Harris like genius to come up with this erm...genius trick.

Required - pic/poster and envelope to fit, add a number pad or a pieces of paper, calculator.

Effect and method -

You predict a number in a dumb gag used mainly by 9 year olds.

Folks think of numbers and write on pad, someone else adds them up with calculator and total is 55378008. You say you predicted this and envelope is opened to reveal flat chested woman.

They look appaled/confused and ...

Name: Collard by John Archer

From: Alakazam

Price: £35

Genre: Comedic Mentalism

Basic effect:

After taking 5 or 6 random letters from your audience and writing them down, the word/name they form, is exactly that of the name that is written on the "Dog Tag" that is on the collar of a stuffed Dog that has been on view throughout.

Comments:

This effect is much more exciting than my description above. It is based on Al Korans "Gold Medallion" and Don ...

I see that Noel is one of the headlining performers at next year's Session Convention in Gloucester.

Has anyone here been to one of these conventions? They sound like early morning magic jamming sessions with lectures thrown in, and I wouldn't mind finding out a bit more about them.

Noel, if you read this, what's the format like?

Thanks,

Mark

ITEM: Dream Bag.

FROM: Practical Magic

PRICE: £55

DIFFICULTY: 1/5

EFFECT:

The performer produces a Paper Bag and shows it to be completely empty. After a Magic Pass, he dips his empty hand into the bag and pulls out a glass effect box full of flowers.! This can be repeated two more times producing three different coloured boxes in all.

MY COMMENTS:

This is so beautifull and very visual. When you produce the bag, it can be flat packed, which makes the appearance of ...
