NAME: Misers Delight
PRICE: £139.00
FROM: JBTV (Mark Mason exclusive)

Note: This effect requires a pair of D'lites purchased seperately.

Effect:
Place a semi-transparent gift bag on your work surface. Produce a bright Red light at your fingertips, then toss it into the bag. Your specs will see the Red light cascade to the bottom of the bag! This can be repeated a further 13 times, until the bag is full of glowing Red lights fully visible to your specs through the semi-transparent bag. When the bag is full, simply lean over the bag, give a blow, and they all go out! If you wish, you can start removing the lights one at a time until the bag is empty, or, with the new updated version, the "Misers Delight Pro X", you can pick up the bag and tip the lights out into a second bag!!

MY COMMENTS:
This is a beautifull, prescision made bit of kit!! NOT to be confused with a much, much cheaper version out there. To watch the bag slowly fill with these lights you pluck from nowhere is a wonder to behold.

The gimmicked bag has three settings......TIMED, MANUAL or INFRARED, all is run by 2 AA batteries. I have played with all the settings and found INFRARED setting best suited to me. The only thing I can say against it is that at £139 I would have thought they would throw in the D'lites!!

I haven't road tested this yet, but I am sure it will go down a storm with both adults and children. My 5 year old daughter screamed with delight.

Being a purely visual effect, I think it should be performed with music.....any ideas or suggestions guys?

9 out of 10 simply because you have to buy the D'lites seperately.

Chris

Like the table I made??

Ahhh, that takes me back (ohhh six years is it?) to when we first all went up to Blackpool. You and me bought a pair of cheap d'light knock-offs for a fiver and spent the weekend bewildering the doorman to the dealer's fair by throwing red lights between us...

Thanks for that review Chris. There's a lot of talk about the cheaper knock-off on the Cafe, so I'm glad you went for the original, and glad you're having fun with it.

Can you load anything into the bag? At the end of the routine, could you 'blow out' the lights then tip the bag up for a load of round, red sweeties to come out??

And yes, the table's great - it makes no mistake about what you're all about! Have you thought about adding your name to it some where?

Thanks again, Chris.

Yes, that was funny, poor guys, must have thought we were nuts!! Wait a minute....we are!

The bag,
you can't show it empty as such because all the circuitry (sp?) would be seen, but if you picked it up and tipped it without showing the inside it would work.....good idea for the kids Mark.

I did toy with the idea of perhaps getting one of those illuminating floating Light bulbs and doing something with it at the end. Blow out the Red lights, but still something shining in the bag. Float it out and continue with that? Only thing that stops me is my fear of IT.
